We need to keep taxes lower. The answer to our budget problem is not more taxes. Raising taxes does not stimulate the economy. When taxes are lower, Americans will have more money to spend on goods and services, which will stimulate the economy. Government spending is out of control. We must balance the budget and eliminate our national debt. As a nation we must return to being fiscally responsible so that we can avoid the fate that is facing some European nations today.

We have many options such as solar, hydroelectric, wind, and even nuclear technologies, all of which would lower the cost of energy for our homes. I believe we must improve and add to our domestic resources so we can secure our country's economic well being and our children’s future.

We owe a debt of gratitude that we can never repay to the brave men and women who have defended this great country of ours. We should honor the sacrifices they have made for our country. I support the idea of giving our disabled veterans health care at no cost, and I support low cost health care for all other veterans.

I believe our children are our greatest gifts and should be treated as such. However, education is a concern of the States and not the Federal Government.

Our borders must also be secured to stop the flow of illegal aliens, terrorists, weapons and drugs. We have an obligation to our citizens to protect our homeland from any terrorist who could so easily cross in and out of America at our borders.

I support:
• legal immigration; however, I strongly oppose illegal aliens.
• legislation which will enable law enforcement to uphold current immigration laws.
• strengthening those laws where needed.
• legislation which will deny ANY federal benefits to illegal immigrants.

Life begins at conception and must be protected until the natural end of life.

We are a free people with a right to own and bear arms. The American people have a right to protect themselves and their families. I support the right of all Law Abiding Citizens to own and bear arms.

We need Health Care Reform not a government sponsored plan to control the health care industry that will eventually bankrupt America.

It is the duty of Congress to insure that the citizens of the United States are protected from all enemies. We cannot protect our citizens if our military is not supported, supplied and fully funded to win the battle wherever they may be.

We can in no way limit the freedom of speech provided for all citizens by the Constitution of the United States. I will oppose any attempt to limit free speech. I also oppose the "fairness doctrine".

We are a Christian Nation built on Biblical Principals. In accordance with the Constitution, all religions and faiths are given freedom to worship without government intrusion.

• We must rebuild American manufacturing if we are to restore America's economy.
• We must cut taxes and mandates on small businesses so they can create new jobs.
